The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) designed a series of four webinars to provide an overview of the role of the judge in key aspects of child abuse and neglect hearings. The series will highlight four primary topics, discuss the role of the judge in leading on and off the bench, and note important considerations for cases with the youngest children. This third webinar will focus on reasonable and active efforts.

Reasonable and Active Efforts findings are critical tools for improved safety, timeliness, permanency and well-being. This webinar will help participants understand best practice tasks and responsibilities to make reasonable and active efforts findings. Attendees will examine the scope of judge’s responsibility to determine the adequacy of reasonable efforts at various stages of dependency proceedings, discuss and “define” reasonable efforts, and explore some best practices in making reasonable efforts.

There is no registration fee for this program.

Please contact the registrar Adriana Arzola, Administrative Assistant, NCJFCJ, at aarzola@ncjfcj.org if you have any questions about registration.
