Please join the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) in Arizona for our 87th Annual Conference, July 21 – 24, 2024, at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, Arizona.
The conference will feature amazing presentations on topic-specific training tracks including domestic relations, juvenile justice, child welfare, family violence, and emerging issues, as well as general sessions led by thought leaders.
Who Should Attend?
This conference is designed for a wide range of disciplines and is open to all those who strive to improve the systems and change the lives of children, families and survivors in the court system and our communities. We offer two registration rates, one for current NCJFCJ members and one for non-members with a Pathway to Membership.

Tuesday Night President’s Installation Event and Justice Innovation Awards Ticket Information
Tickets are $100 each. To purchase tickets for the Tuesday Night President’s Installation Event and Justice Innovation Awards, please contact Lydia Albrecht, Membership Experience Coordinator, at lalbrecht@ncjfcj.org or (775) 507-4850. If you are registering through the NCJFCJ Members Portal you may also purchase a ticket in the “Registration Add-On” section of the registration process. The NCJFCJ, Casey Family Programs, and the Native American Indian Court Judges Association (NAICJA) are proud to jointly present the Tribal-State Collaboration Luncheon at the 87th Annual Conference. Hotel and Travel Information
The 87th Annual Conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is SOLD OUT. Some limited rooms may be available at the group rate of $110.00 per night for single or double occupancy not inclusive of city and occupancy taxes. The resort fee is $15 per night. Hotel Overflow Information
We have secured an overflow hotel room block at the Gila River Resort & Casino. The group rate is $110.00 per night for single or double occupancy not inclusive of city and occupancy taxes. Book your room online or call 520-796-4900 and mention the “87th NCJFCJ Annual Conference” to receive the group rate. Reservations must be made by July 3, 2024 to secure the group rate.
Shuttle Information: There is a free shuttle that runs between the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass and the Gila River Resort & Casino. The shuttle runs on a continuous basis between the properties every 15-20 minutes between properties.

Phoenix and Hotel Information

Phoenix in July is very warm. Plan to hydrate the week ahead of your visit, pack sunscreen and a hat. There is much vegetation and water around the resort, providing shade and relief from the heat. The meeting rooms will be well air-conditioned so please plan to pack a sweater or dress accordingly.

Wild Horse Pass Development Authority runs a shuttle between the Sheraton Grand Resort and the Gila River Resort and Casino. Please see the valet for shuttle times.

Huhugam Heritage Center:
This 6,000 + sq ft permanent gallery was completed in 2020. The gallery features items from the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Museum of Natural History, Yale Peabody Museum, Pueblo Grande Museum, Gila River Indian Community Members and HHC Collections and includes media that tells the Community’s story. Open Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
Koli Equestrian Center:
Located in the heart of the Gila River Indian Reservation, you’ll find miles of breathtaking scenery and horseback riding trails. With wide open views and landscapes, you just might be able to see the wild horses.
At Koli Equestrian Center there is never any “head to tail” single-line riding. Everyone is spread out and can get to know each other along the way. Friendly, qualified wranglers will advise you of the surroundings and what you need to know about the well-trained horses.
River Boat Rentals
Experience the recreated Gila River within the grounds of the conference hotel, and rent paddle boards, kayaks, or pedal boats for scenic river exploration. The serenity of the Sonoran Desert and the excitement of river activities pair together for an unforgettable experience suitable for all ages.
Desert Botanical Garden:
Discover the tranquil vibrancy of 50,000 desert plants nestled amid the red rocks of the Papago Buttes. Visitors can stroll through five thematic trails to explore the fascinating beauty of the Sonoran Desert, from towering cacti and alluring succulents to brilliant wildflowers and lush trees.
