Technical Assistance Bulletin
This Technical Assistance Brief outlines the steps courts can take to partner with academic researchers to conduct evaluations of practice and programs. Courts may not have the resources to conduct rigorous evaluations; academic partnerships can help courts meet their evaluation needs. Many academic researchers are interested in court-based research, and judicial-academic partnerships can allow for valuable teaching opportunities. Collaboration allows stakeholders to work toward common goals in a way that is beneficial to all and gives stakeholders an opportunity to make a contribution.
