Report
Presents data on juvenile delinquency cases that resulted in out-of-home placement between 1989 and 1998. This Fact Sheet, which is based on the Report Juvenile Court Statistics, 1998, includes the numbers of such cases and percentages of change for each type of delinquency offense and compares statistics for white youth, black youth, and youth of other races. Although the number of adjudicated cases that resulted in out-of-home placement increased between 1989 and 1998, the overall proportion of such cases declined from 31 percent in 1989 to 26 percent in 1998. The Fact Sheet includes four tables.
