Save the Date: National Conference on Abuse in Later Life
August 13-15, 2024 • New Orleans, LA
The National Conference on Abuse in Later Life is a three-day event that will help those who work with and care about older individuals to identify and address abuse in later life in their communities. Participants will hear from experts and multidisciplinary practitioners on how to take action to enhance safety and justice for older individuals.
Abuse in Later Life is more common than most people realize; one study estimates that up to five million older Americans are abused every year. Behind the statistics lie real stories of people who deserve to age with safety and dignity. The National Conference on Abuse in Later Life aims to shine a light on the importance of addressing this issue and equip participants with practical strategies they can take back to their communities to better reach and serve older survivors.
At the National Conference on Abuse in Later Life, you’ll:
- Gain insights into opportunities to improve your community’s response to abuse in later life, including best practices and funding opportunities.
- Engage in meaningful discussions with multidisciplinary professionals and advocates who have a shared commitment to justice for older adults.
- Be inspired to join the movement in building survivor-centered solutions to address abuse in later life.
