Meet the
National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) in Reno, Nevada, for our 85th Annual Conference, July 17-20, 2022, which will feature amazing presentations on current and cutting edge topics that will inspire you, broaden your knowledge, and provoke discussions about issues facing the juvenile and family court system.

For 84 years, the NCJFCJ has led systems to change through the values of CompassionLeadershipEducation, and Community through our network of more than 30,000 juvenile and family court professionals who share in the mission of this organization. For this hopeful new year, continuing to make connections with intentions is more important than ever to fully serve ourselves through self-care while serving the children, families, and survivors of violence we represent.

Plenary sessions highlighted by topic-specific training tracks on family law, juvenile justice, child welfare, and family violence; as well as sessions highlighting innovative solutions and self-care are just the beginning of the educational offerings of the NCJFCJ’s 85th Annual Conference.

Guarding Your Wellness in Washoe County

This NCJFCJ conference will be an in-person event. Attendees must provide proof of full vaccination as defined by the CDC, or proof of a negative viral COVID-19 test administered by a healthcare professional taken within 3 days of the meeting arrival date. The wearing of a face mask is optional at all in-person sessions and events.
The NCJFCJ will also adhere to the health and safety protocols for COVID-19 in Reno, Nevada in accordance with the Washoe County Health District , the state of Nevada, and the CDC.

The NCJFCJ is now an accredited Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credit provider for the Nevada Bar Association.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment is required upon registration. Cancellations for conference registration must be made in writing and received by email, fax, or postmarked by July 9, 2022. All cancellations will incur a $100 fee.

Hotel Information

The 85th Annual Conference will be held in Reno, Nevada at the Nugget Casino Resort. The group rate is $99.00 per night for single or double occupancy not inclusive of city and occupancy taxes. There is no resort fee.

Parking Information:
On-site parking: There is no fee for self-parking or valet parking.

UNR’s Judicial Studies Graduate Degree Program Credit Opportunity

The University of Nevada, Reno is pleased to announce that the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges’ 85th Annual Conference in Reno, Nevada has been approved for two graduate credits toward the Judicial Studies Graduate Masters and/or Ph.D. Degree. There is no additional fee associated with attending the conference for degree credit.

Judges attending the conference who submit documentation of attendance and complete a post-conference assessment designed by Judicial Studies Graduate Degree Program faculty will earn two credits to be applied toward the MJS and/or Ph.D. degree.

Judges who are already a student in the degree program will have two credits applied to their transcript under a special topics course designation number, and judges who are not admitted can bank two credits for up to six years if they choose to apply to the program in the future.

Upon registration, please select “I plan on attending this conference for course credit towards the Judicial Studies Graduate Degree Program at the University of Nevada, Reno.”
