NCJFCJ’s recently released a bulletin that offers sound advice on data collection and sharing as it relates to developing school-justice partnerships, and I encourage anyone who is interested in disrupting the school-to-prison-pipeline to review the report.
This op-ed focuses on the effectiveness of NCJFCJ’s bulletin in Clayton County, Ga. Their research revealed that Clayton county had a 1,200 percent increase in school-based juvenile complaints within a few short years of the creation of our school resource officer program.
