Report
In partnership with the Washington Administrative Office of the Courts, the NCJFCJ conducted a judicial workload assessment in Washington State. The assessment identified Spokane County as having adequate judicial resources to meet current workload demands and conduct thorough hearings. This report offers a more in-depth examination of Spokane’s court practices such as a unique one family, one judge team approach to dependency cases, time-certain calendaring, early appointment of counsel, a strict “no continuance” policy, and family team decision meetings.
